| Future Rock :: The Chicago trio blends organic instruments, electronic synthesis and clever songwriting into a contagious mix that's been creating a buzz in their Midwest home base (an article in Chicago Innerview compared them to the Windy City's own Tortoise) and beyond. Mickey Kellerman and Felix Moreno utilize a myriad of synthesizers, electronics, and instruments, while drummer Darren Heitz blends acoustic and electronic drum timbres with live sampling through his synthesizers. The audience can rarely identify the origin of each sound, but that doesn't stop them from dancing to Future Rock's grooves. The band is enjoying a breakout year this 2006, sharing the stage with the likes of the Benevento-Russo Duo, Conspirator, and Lotus and making appearances at the nation's biggests festivals...
